
Group Therapy
​
We are offering the following Dialectical Behavioural
Therapy (DBT) Skills Training Groups, on a continual rotating basis, for $80 per therapy hour:

Mindfulness and Distress Tolerance - 8 weeks ($1,280 + $60 workbook fee)

Mindfulness and Emotion Regulation - 9 weeks ($1.440 + $60 workbook fee)

Mindfulness and Interpersonal Effectiveness - 8 weeks ($1,280 + $60 workbook fee)

Group members can choose to participate in any of these modules, or attend all three.
​
DBT is an evidence-based treatment for pervasive emotion dysregulation and teaches practical skills for coping with life's challenges. Research has shown that DBT can treat disorders such as Borderline Personality Disorder (DBT), eating disorders, substance use disorders, depression, anxiety, and trauma stabilization. One of the core aspects of DBT is participation in Skills Training Groups, where participants will learn:

Mindfulness: Being in the present moment, with awareness, experience reality as it is, controlling the mind, and increasing well-being;

Distress Tolerance: Learning to survive crises without making things worse and reducing emotional arousal;

Emotion Regulation: Identifying and labelling emotions, changing unwanted emotions, and changing situations that prompt them;

Interpersonal Effectiveness: Improving communication skills, setting boundaries, and enhancing your relationships.
